This privacy policy outlines how the Long Branch Gardeners Harvest mobile application collects, uses, and shares information from users of the Android application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

• Google Login ID: We collect your Google Login ID when you log in to the App. This information is used solely for authentication purposes to access the App's features and to track your participation in the Long Branch Gardeners Harvest program.

• User Name: We may collect your user name (if provided) for internal purposes, such as recognizing your contributions within the Long Branch Gardeners community.

• Harvest Data:

  • Photographs: The App may use your device's camera to capture photographs of harvested crops.

  • Harvest Details: You may provide text-based details about the harvested crops, such as type, quantity, harvest date, and gardener and garden location.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: Your Google Login ID is used to verify your identity and grant you access to the App's features.

• Harvest Reporting and Analysis:

  • The collected harvest data, including photographs and text details, is used for internal reporting and analysis purposes related to crop harvests within the Long Branch Gardeners' community.

  • We may use aggregated, anonymized data for research, grant reporting and improvement of the App's functionality.

• Participation Tracking:

  • Your Google Login ID and, if provided, your user name are used internally to track your participation in the Long Branch Gardeners Harvest program. This information may be used for internal purposes such as recognizing and rewarding program participants.

• Image Handling:

  • If any photographs contain identifiable individuals, we will not share those photographs with any third party without obtaining explicit consent from the individuals depicted or, in the case of minors, from their parents or legal guardians.

3. Data Sharing

• We do not share your Google Login ID, user name, or any personally identifiable information with any third parties.

• We may share aggregated, anonymized harvest data (excluding photographs) with the Long Branch Gardeners' community for the purpose of collective analysis and reporting.

4. Data Security

• We take reasonable measures to protect the security of your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  

5. Children's Privacy

• The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

• We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page.
